SUMMARY

Our firm is looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead all post sales activities on construction and architectural specialty projects, ensuring that they run smoothly from project award to job completion. This is the perfect opportunity for a driven person who is detail oriented.

GENERAL

• This role will be responsible for leading all post sales activities on construction and architectural specialty projects.
• Successful candidates will ensure that projects run smoothly from project award to job completion
• The major focus is ensuring efficient execution while keeping an eye on budgets, timelines, and customer requirements
• This position wears many hats and collaborates with different areas of the business, both internal and external

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Manage all post-sales aspects of related projects including being the point of contact for general contractors, architects, and customers/project owners
• Collaborate with internal teams (project admins, sales reps, warehouse, operations) and external teams (vendors, manufacturers, carriers, labor subcontractors) to ensure project is executed on time, accurately, and with professionalism
• Coordinate with sales staff and estimating to develop project proposals that are profitable and accurate; if necessary, attend pre-bid meetings and verify site conditions as needed
• Work with our project admins to manage and complete the entire post-award project lifecycle – submittals, shop drawings and layouts, RFI’s, field checks, purchase orders, subcontractor scheduling, installation, quality control, and post installation inspections
• Actively identify and mitigate any potential risks/issues to quickly formulate solutions
• Communicate issues with management, so that we can work together to resolve any potential problem
• Conduct thorough inspections after project completion, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract specifications and company standards
• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation including, but not limited to, closeout docs, product training, warranties, and attic stock

• Participate in project and job takeoff meetings as requested
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• AA Degree from a Community College (Bachelor Degree preferred)
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and familiar with database management
• Multitasking with ability to keep numerous projects in motion
• People oriented with attention to details
• Must be able to travel throughout Southern California
• Self-starter, self-motivated with common sense
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Clean DMV and must pass background check with the state to work at school sites
• Some lifting and work with tools may be required
