Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Soliant isseeking a dedicated and qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our educational team for the 20252026 school year. The successful candidate will provide interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in either a high school or elementary school setting, supporting munication access between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
Key Responsibilities:Provide real-time ASL interpretation in classroom settings and school-related activities
Facilitate effective munication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and hearing individuals
Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure appropriate acmodations
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interpreting interactions
Support student learning by adapting interpreting style as needed based on students language and educational level
Minimum of Level 3 QAST certification OR
Level 4 or 5 EIPA certification
Strong understanding of educational interpreting practices and the needs of students in K12 settings
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in a school setting is preferred
Full-time position
Placement could be at either a high school or elementary school, depending on district need
Must be available for the full academic year: August 11, 2025 May 27, 2026
