FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Research Assistant Professor of Environmental Economics.
Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. JOB SUMMARY:
Fort Valley State University's College of Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology (CAFST) is seeking an environmental economist for 12-month non-tenure track research (100%) research assistant professor level to develop and/or lead a nationally recognized research program in any area of environmental economics that is directed towards climate changes and its corresponding social economic impacts. Specific areas of interest include evaluation of the impact of climate changes, environmental policies related to climate change friendly production behaviors of farmers, sustainable development of rural economy, natural resource economics, climate change and technology adoptions. Research is expected to be of a quality resulting in publications in leading academic journals and to enhance advanced quantitative analyses of large data sets related to agricultural economics.
